A Note about Submissions

We are not a gallery, and we do not take submissions. The artists on the site are all artists that we know, artists that we socialize with, whose openings we attend, and who we care about not only as artists, but as people. The site features not only outstanding artists, but also documents real artists network/community as it expands and grows. We have a long list of artists that we have yet to add, and over time, it should prove to be an interesting microcosm of one small part of the greater art community.

Thank You,
Samantha Fields

Bruce Norris' play revisits 'Raisin's' neighborhood, but the state of African Americans is unfortunately left out of the conversation.

In the program for "Clybourne Park," Bruce Norris' Pulitzer Prize-winning drama at the Mark Taper Forum, Center Theatre Group artistic director Michael Ritchie lauds the play and "A Raisin in the Sun," the 1959 classic that inspired it and is running in revival across town at the Kirk Douglas.

The show will be performed in a vacated corporate penthouse in the Paul Hastings Tower in downtown Los Angeles.

There's a long carpeted area on the 51st floor of the Paul Hastings Tower in downtown Los Angeles that most people would identify as a hallway. But in the eyes of Heidi Duckler, it's the site of the ancient Roman Battle of Actium.

Cast tops 1,000 for Mahler's 'Symphony of a Thousand' in L.A.

Just how many performers does it take to pull off Gustav Mahler's Symphony No. 8, popularly and dauntingly known as the "Symphony of a Thousand"?
